Todays match of deccan chargers vs somerset was a thriller but in the end our own uppal stadium still bears no good signs for us.The match intially started of a blitzkrieg from adam gillchrist and our own hyderabadi v.v.s.laxman deccan chargers were at 59 for loss of two wickets at 5.5 overs gilly and suman reached the pavilion.It was a good start to the season for laxman who hit a 46 out of 35 balls and then with the loss of him and andrew symonds the DC were at 88/4 at 10.4 overs rohit sharma and styris tried to build apartnership and with their loss and afew hits from venugopal rao and a flury of wickets in the end saw DC at 153 runs from their 20 overs.

A good disciplined performance by somerset bowlers who were new to the international cricket.

Somerset got a steady start in the initial overs and three break throughs from RP singh made them a bit slow and a dynamic effort in bowling department from suman who bowled his two overs for 15 runs pulling two scalps then bought in ALFONSO THOMAS who took somerset past 153 in the end scoring 157 with styrius bowling a thriller of a over with taking 2 wickets from 3 balls but int the end gave away 2 crucial bouandries which cost the deccan chargers their match.

So a superb performance by the both teams and in the end Somerset pulling out a win now deccan chargers must win their match against trinidad and tobago to go through the group stage.Considering the performance dispalyed today by the chargers they will be favourites for the tie on oct14.
