Chennai are back with a bang. After a disaster in the opening match, they came back pretty strongly as expected. Royal challenger tried to fight a considerably huge total but failed miserably. Royal challengers, after the win in the first game which gave a boost of confidence did not fare well in this match.

The match started at 8 o clock IST, The luckiest captain won the toss again, elected to bat first, haydeninstead of bowling like the other night. Chennai opened with Partiv (not keeping) and Hayden gave a terrific start of more than 100 runs in just 10 overs. In the eleventh over, Pietersen bowled Partiv in the very first ball of the over and the score was 106 for 1 in 10.1 overs. In place of Parthiv came Suresh Raina, Raina looked at an impossible single and in the very next ball Hayden was run out by Dravid’s direct hit. Score was 106 for 2 in 10.2 overs. Then came the captain, Raina and Dhoni scored together 40 runs in the next 4 overs. In the sixteenth over, Dhoni gave away his wicket to Praveen Kumar and            R Bishnoi (debutant) caught him when score was 144 for 3 in 15.6 overs. Fredy took the crease in place of the captain, scored a quick 22 of 18 balls, mean while Raina and Morkel gave away their wickets at the other end in desire for scoring quick runs, final score was 179 for 5 in 20 overs.

Key Analysis: the start given by the partiv and Hayden was key for Chennai super kings. Raina, Dhoni and fredy all scored quick runs which helped them to get the score of 180.

Later, Bangalore opened their batting with P Kumar and Robin Utthapa (keeping), Goni started with the ball, in the third ball of the over, Goni bowled Kumar with a beautiful yorker.muraliLater came Kallis, played some good shots along ground, at a point in time looked like Bangalore were in the chase when score was 40 in 5 overs. Then Morkel caught Kallis leg before the wicket. Later came Taylor could not sustain for long since flintoff took his wicket(c & b). After flintoff, captain Pietersenentered the crease was also found leg before wicket, to Muralitharan, went back facing one ball and without scoring any runs. Dravid came to the crease after the captain; Muralitharan bowled a beauty, disguised Utthapa and got him stumped by Dhoni, again an opus of finesse. Later on, after the wicket of Utthapa, they were never in the chase and gave away their wickets in quick successions. Dravid was the last person to get out in the 15th over score was 87 all out in 15.2 overs.

Key Analysis: A wicket in the first over was the major draw back, Teams chasing huge scores should get a good start, Kumar failed giving Bangalore a good start, Muralitharan’s over of two key wickets of Utthapa and Pietersen was a big blow, and then on there were never to close to chase that huge total.

Man Of the Match: Mutaih Muralitharan

Cric Republic Say: Congrats to Dhoni and his team, that outplayed royal challengers. Hopefully, they will retain this form through out the tournament. Condolences to Pietersen and his team, which had a bad day of cricket, cricket is all about winning and losing, Wish they will fight back in the next match, all the best wishes from Cric Republic team Cheers!!!
