DC and the Indian players
Deccan Chargers the winner of the second edition of IPL played in South Africa face a grave threat of not making it to the top four in the on going 3rd edition of IPL after loosing Rajasthan Royals by two runs in today’s closely fought match.Deccan Chargers have a history of loosing matches from the point where they are comfortably placed, this was seen in the first IPL and mainly in the Champions League T20 during DC lost many matches after coming close. This bad habit of not being able to finish of matches can be attributed to two main factor.First being , heavy dependence on few overseas batmen like Gilchrist and Symmonds and the second is Non performing Indian players in the team. Right from the start of the first season of IPL non of the Indian players in DC contributed unlike other teams where local talent has been performing exceptionally good. Rohit Sharma being the only exception , who has won some of the matches single handedly for DC.Deccan Chargers have to find a fix for this problems and may be they should pick-up some good local talent at least in the next year’s IPL
