GillyTough luck to Mumbai, faced  third consecutive defeat. Slipped it through fingertips. Deccan won by 19 runs.

Deccan won the toss and elected to bat first. Mumbai got their early break through with Gibbs. Gilchrist couldn’t stick for a longer time. He was stunned by the ball of A Raje, couldn’t do anything and allowed the ball to kiss the wicket. All this happened just before the strategy time out. Rohit sharma(38) and Venugopal(28) played a safe game, kept the score board ticking at a normal rate. And were able to put up a score of 145 for 6 wickets.

Target given to Mumbai seemed to be gettable when the Legends entered the ground. RP Singh striked early, he was successful in closing the openers account, Sachin for 4 and Sanath for 7. Mumbai was in deep trouble with the pricey loss. Duminy and Pinal shah came to the rescue. They blocked the wicket loss. Shah seemed to dangerous at that point. Went out for every ball Duminybowl to him. He scored 29 in just 19 balls with 4×3 and 6×2. He was caught at deep by Dwayne Smith to T. Suman in an attempt for a big shot, which was needless. Bravo joined the play. Duminy was going strong the other side. Bravo’s job was to take single and provide him the strike. It went on to be great by that time. Game  sharmawas drifting towards Mumbai. T. Suman broke the partnership. Bravo was trying to hit the ball to fly it in to the crowd but couldn’t connect well and was caught with a mignificent effort of Harris at the fence. This was the point where things seemed to be moving away from Mumbai. Then the Magic spell of Rohit closed all the door for Mumbai. He took 4 wickets in 2 overs with just 6 runs in return, which had a hat-trick. Harbhajan, Abhishek Nayar and Duminy were his victims. With the loss of Duminy Mumbai left the hopes of winning. Duminy has the ability to play in critical situations but is not yet a good ‘finisher’. Sharma took the wicket of Tiwary in his next over. Mumbai managed to put up a score of 128 in 20 overs for the loss of 8 wickets. Deccan won the game by 19 runs.
