Delhi fall short for jakatis spin

It was a disastrous start for the DareDevils as they lost Gambhir and de Villers off consecutive balls and Dilshan was quick to follow them back into the dug-out. Just when Delhi was being written off, Warner and Karthik got together to treat us with some high quality batting, fireworks all around as they carted the bowlers to every possible corner of the park. Both of them got to their fifties and looked good to seal the game for Delhi too but just then Jakati spun his side back into the contest. He removed the two key men and since then it was a landslide and by that time we knew Delhi stood no chance.

Earlier the daredevils won the toss and elected to field first. The super kings in their innings teamed up a descent total of 163 all out, with Suresh Raina and Badrinath giving a sound partnership of 66 runs off just 41 balls .then the wickets fell at regular intervals and the team made-up to a good score. For the Daredevils Nehra and Nannes delivered a good bowling attack by taking 3 wickets each. But they couldn’t give a sound reply to the chasable score of 164 and fell short by 18 runs of the total .The Chennai super kings have come up in every aspect of the game and are very much indeed the victorious team for now. Shadab jataki for his good bowling figures of 4-24 has been adjudged the man of the match. Well, one positive thing that comes out of this Delhi defeat is that the tournament has heated up further with the points table looking a lot more competitive than it was sometime before.
