England outplays Pakistan

England at last can take a huge sigh of relief after winning over Pakistan in yesterday’s T20. Earlier, England lost to Netherlands in their opening match, England were clear favorites in that match.But who all had their money on Netherlands must be millionaire by now.

England batted first, while Pakistan was bowling opening with Gul.England opened their innings with Bopara and wright, were not able to give England a kick ass start, Bopara gave away his wicket to Amaer (a young lad) was caught at point by Mallik with a spectacular catch.Later Peterson came in place of Bopara. Peterson and wright smashed the ball around the park, Peterson was not sparing anyone. Wright also supported him pretty well with 34 runs of just 16 balls and gave away his wicket to Gul. Wright was replaced by shah, score at the 10th over was 100 for two, Peterson and shah were at the crease, for a change there was no strategy break after the 10th overs, fans (like me) who were habituated with the strategy break in IPL, will feel strange. Later England maintained a run rate of 10 runs per over until 15 over. After that, they lost Perterson who scored 58 of just 38 balls played a key role in helping England to reach a score of 180 in 20 overs. In the end Mascarenhas and the captain also helped the team by getting quick runs at the end.

Situation : 180 was gettable score, if Pakistan had a good start, and had wickets in the end. do not forget Afridi is in Pakistan playing 11 so it was a gettable score. Pakistan needs to score at at least 9 runs per over.

Pakistan opened their innings with Ahmed Shehzad and Salman butt but were unable get a great start and lost their first wicket in the third over to Mascarenhas. score was 13 for one in 2.1 overs.England had a very good second wicket partnership but Pakistan were unable to even that.In the sixth over Pakistan lost two more wickets in the same over which was bowled by Stuart board. Kamran Akmal and Salman Butt lost their wickets. Salman looked good but was caught by Bopara when he miss hit one.The game was in England’s court, captain came in along with Mallik, who took a spectacular catch in the first innings,both tried to steady the ship. Getting a single of every ball. Looked like Pakistan was trying to get back in the game. Mallik lost his wicket, caught by the keeper,of thick edge.Afridi came in place of Mallik, Pakistan still had hopes on him but he did not deliver again, he tried to swing the bat and hit the ball, was unable to connect it ,gave away hit to Swann score was102 after 15.1 overs. It was all over for Pakistan, Paksitan lost three more wickets in the last five overs. Score after 20 overs was 135 for 7. Younis Khan was not out till the end, was a fighting a lost battle,all alone. No one was there to support the captain.

Cricrepublic say : Pakistan was outplayed by England in almost every aspect of the game. England can now have a sigh of relief after winning this match. A feast for England fans. Pakistan must win against Netherlands to get to the super 8, that too with huge amount of runs, to get the run rate up.
