Sachin Mantra and MI Resurgence !
Mumbai Indians (Costliest team in first IPL aution):
In 2008, it finished Fifth, missing the semi finals by a wisker. In 2009, it finished Seventh! The costliest team was failing to make an impact because its captain and God of Indian Cricket; Sachin was failing to make an impact. Sachin might have the unmatched experience of World Cricket, but he hasnt figured in a team which could win the World Cup (ODI or T20), or even IPL. He has taken it into his stride, the only feather missing in his Cap.
More hungry Sachin:
Sachin offlate has been in golden run. 2009 and 2010 have been largely sucessfull years for him. Mumbai Indians, in the midway of the IPL-3 is at the top of the table. Infact, it is at top because, out of 7 innings, Sachin scored four half centuries, all of them won by Mumbai. The sucess of Mumbai and Sachin go hand in hand. Sachin’s ultimate dream would however be to win the 2011 world cup for India. And winning IPL-3 would be the morale booster to him. The hunger and devotion with which he is playing his cricket, both seem achievable. Mumbai Indians resurrgence is a pattern of IPL. The team which ends up at bottom of the table in previous IPL, tops in the next season. Not for Kolkata tough!
