Team with cricketing legends. Team that had seen everything in the last season: was a part of the most spoken controversy of the year. was a serious match contender. Had a bad start, lost four of them in a row, but they bounced back and took up a good pace, won next six in row which wasn’t so shocking as after a much awaited and much hyped entry of Sachin after recovering from his injury, which clearly showed that the team felt his absence for the first half (perhaps every cricket fan was looking over for his entry). He was right into the game with the team. Though individually he couldn’t contribute much to the team, personally he was a big BOOST. Team stood 5th which had won 7 and lost 7 of the 14 matches played. The match with Rajasthan Royals where things were with MI until the last ball. Unfortunately they’ve lost it after Jayasuriya missed the run out. With the match, it also lost the entry into semis with one point.

But the team’s back with a treasure of talents, a few significant changes with entry of few cricketing masters and sporting buds:

• A worthy replacement of Uthappa with the pace king Zaheer khan and Shikhar Dhawan for Ashish Nehra, who played brilliantly for the Delhi dare devils.
• J P Duminy a latest sensation of South Africa is a new member in the crew. ‘He stands third in the cost after Pietersen and Flintoff in the second auction.’
• Saurabh Tiwary is the new kid on block. He was picked up from the U-19 2008 World Cup Winning team. He played a key role in the teams win.

The only person whom the team would miss is Dwayne Brave at the end as the West Indies have a series with England starting from May 6th. He was a super athlete last season; he shined with ball, bat and in fielding as well.

Positives:

• The Unstoppable Zaheer: He is in a greatest form of his life. His experience obviously counts for the game.
• The destructive Jayasurya: What to say about him. Definitely a prime focus and highly expensive wicket for the opponents.
• Last, not the least and the MOST important factor Sachin himself, he seems to be more comfortable and relaxed with the game. Surely has the ability to switch as per situations and game formats. Hope he carries his great form with the IPL as well.

Negatives:

Nothing, nothing and absolutely nothing.

Message to the Team: All the Best Guys keep up the spirit of the Mumbai show them ‘no one can step us back, no one comes in our way’.
