Afghanistan:

Afghanistan bordering Pakistan has had huge influence of latter in their sporting developments. Pakistan a well established cricketing nation and also having a huge cricket crazy population could actually inspire the Afghans to take up the game rather more seriously. It is an affiliate member of the ICC and holds promise of being a very good cricketing nation.

Bahrain:

Bahrain is relatively new to cricket and their performances especially in junior level hold great promise for future. Currently, an affiliate member of ICC, it has been trying to build infrastructural facilities with help from other organizations. It would take some time before Bahrain can start competing at international level.

Cricket came to Bhutan through Indian Television. There are very few cricketers in this rough terrain region. The number of people taking up cricket has been steadily increasing and Bhutan with the help of India would like to play a role in Asian Cricket. There is a long way to go for this country, but yes the first step has been taken.

A small country whose administration has been doing everything possible to make cricket popular had only disappointment in return. China:

One of the latest additions to ICC affiliate members, the most populous country in world has just started to play cricket. The people are completely not aware of existence of such a game until recently; forget about the rules of cricket. Everything has to be started from scratch in this country and it would be very long process. China’s large youth population is an advantage and proper awareness and facilities would make cricket grow faster.

Hong Kong the most promising of Asian Cricketing countries is probably going to be one of the next big Asian Cricketing Giant. Consistent performance over the years has made the world take note of this country and its continued performance would enhance its stature.
