Will rains at HYD pose a problem to CLT20…?

The charge is on as the champions league T20 looms large on the horizon. The city ,which has been at the receiving end of the elements for more then a week, seems to be waking up to the excitement of the first of its kind inter club tournament, which features many of the top international players.

However, the ground staff at the rajiv gandhi international cricket stadium in uppal here has been a worried lot.The weather condition didn’t help their cause but with the incessant rains seeming to have abated as on tuesday they are a relieved lot they now have three days on hand to get the wicket ready for the double header to be played between cape cobras and otago volts and deccan chargers vs somerset on saturday.
The wicket here has always favored the batsman but the players feel that it may not be so this time around.The bowlers may be able to get more purchase from the wicket than they normally do.
